BBC AMERICA Hosts a LIVE Cook-off in NYC’s Flatiron District Tomorrow - Thursday, March 29, 12:15pm
New York Giants’ two-time Super Bowl champion David Diehl, Digital Strategist & Co-Founder of Foodspotting Soraya Darabi and InStyle Editor Hal Rubenstein will judge a LIVE New York City-inspired cooking competition in the Flatiron District.
The Chefs of BBC AMERICA’S new adventure cooking series, No Kitchen Required - Michelin-starred NY restaurateur Michael Psilakis, first-ever Chopped Grand Champion Madison Cowan and elite personal chef from New Zealand, Kayne Raymond - will face the challenge of preparing dishes in front of spectators using native NYC ingredients - including crow, squirrel and hare – on a NYC inspired stage. The winner will be selected immediately following the judges’ taste tests of these “unique” dishes.
No Kitchen Required premieres Tuesday, April 3, 10/9c on BBC AMERICA
In the series, the three chefs are dropped into the most exotic and remote places on earth and must work with the locals to hunt, fish and forage for ingredients to create locally-inspired meals that will be judged by the communities. They travel to Dominica, New Zealand, Belize, Fiji, Chiang Dao - Thailand, Koh Lanta - Thailand, Hawaii, New Mexico, Louisiana and Florida. Watch the trailer

The adventure + cooking series ‘No Kitchen Required’ gets it’s world premiere on BBC America April 3 at 10/9c.
Picture New York restaurateur Michael Psilakis, first ever ‘Chopped’ Grand Champion chef Madison Cowan and international chef Kayne Raymond as they prepare dishes from ten very different and remote locations including Dominica, New Zealand, Belize, Fiji, Chiang Dao, Thailand, Koh Lanta, as well as Hawaii, New Mexico, Louisiana and Florida.
Each chef is free to choose the indigenous ingredients he wants to use—the challenge comes when he must acquire and prepare the ingredients in the same manner as the locals. The chefs’ meals will ultimately be judged by the local community and one will be chosen as winner in each episode.
The chefs are smart and inventive. The settings are lush and gorgeous.
We’ll be posting interviews with the chefs and beautiful photographs from behind the scenes to the No Kitchen Required Facebook Page as we get closer to the premiere. Go like the page to get all of that and more.
