The Doctor Who Tumblr will be liveposting during tonight’s Supernatural Saturday broadcast of Doctor Who. Orphan Black will do the same but on the Orphan Black Twitter account.
Join them!
Hah ha!
This is your Saturday announcement that we will be livetumblring tonight’s 8pm ET BBC America Premiere of Doctor Who: Nightmare in Silver.
We’ll be online from 8/7c until the end of the broadcast to reblog your gifs and fan art and reactions off of the ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Nightmare in Silver’ tags on Tumblr.
For those of you who have never been to a livetumblring before, it’s where we post moments from the episode to the blog just as they’re happening on the broadcast.
And this may seem like a lot to deal with but because we’re livetumblring in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers.
If you’re going to be liveposting be sure to tag your posts ‘spoilers’. We’ll be using the tags ‘spoilers’ ‘dw spoilers’ and ‘Nightmare in Silver’.If you can’t watch the episode until later this weekend, you can avoid spoilers by installing Tumblr Savior for your browser.
If you’re using the Tumblr mobile app or if the Tumblr Savior stuff seems alien to you, you should consider refollowing us after unfollowing us until after you watch the episode.
After the episode, stay tuned for a new episode of Orphan Black on BBC America and Space Channel at 9p EDT. Tatiana Maslany is kind of amazing in it. We’re kind of obsessed with her. So is Emma Roberts.
And at 10p on BBC America, it’s Space Week on The Nerdist so Chris Hardwick’s guests include astronaut Buzz Aldrin(!) and
cute Mars Rover Mohawk guyNASA Systems Engineer Bobak Ferdowsi(!).
Meanwhile, we will be posting behind the scenes clips and production galleries of today’s show along with the prequel to next week’s season finale, The Name of The Doctor.
In the meantime, we want your autograph for our wall at the Doctor Who Tumblr office at BBC America...
Make us a fan sign, some fan art, a selfie with your Tumblr url. Post it to your blog. Submit it through this form. We’re collecting all of them through the end of next weekend and then we’re going to make a poster out of it for everyone to see whenever they come through the New York office of BBC America — Doctor Who cast, crew, writers, the BBC America staff, and us! WITH ALL OF YOUR GIFS AND ART AND COSPLAY AND EVERYTHING — YOU ARE THE STARS OF THE DOCTOR WHO TUMBLR.
So yeah. (This post feels really long today.) We’re going to go try to avoid our dashboard for the next few hours while the UK gets through their broadcast of Nightmare of Silver. Have a good day and see you at 8/7c for tonight’s all new episode of Doctor Who!

“Hail to you, the Doctor, Savior of the Cybermen!”
Don’t miss an all new episode of DOCTOR WHO, “Nightmare in Silver,” *** written by NEIL GAIMAN and premiering Saturday May 11 at 8/7c *** only on BBC America. Presented by Supernatural Saturday, only on BBC America.
Immediately followed by an All New Episode of BBC AMERICA’s original conspiracy-thriller series ORPHAN BLACK at 9/8c and an all new episode of THE NERDIST at 10/9c.
In “Nightmare in Silver,” Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but it’s now the dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf (WARWICK DAVIS, Harry Potter films) and a dysfunctional army platoon.
When the Doctor (MATT SMITH), Clara (JENNA-LOUISE COLEMAN, Emmerdale, Captain America: The First Avenger), Artie and Angie arrive, the last thing they expect is the re-emergence of one of the Doctor’s oldest foes. The Cybermen are back!

Relive the Doctor’s climatic confrontation of Clara in episode “Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS” - and watch as they bravely leap off a cliff and into the TARDIS’s engine:
“I look at you every single day, and I don’t understand a single thing about you. Why do I keep running into you?”
“What are you, eh? A trick? A trap?”
“I have piloted this ship for over 900 years. Trust me this one time, please… Okay, okay, as well as all the other times. Ready? Geronimo!”
Go inside the rocky relationship between new companion Clara (JENNA-LOUISE COLEMAN) and the time- and space-traveling telephone box.

2013 is DOCTOR WHO’s 50th Anniversary. Each month, BBC AMERICA takes the TARDIS back in time with Brand New Specials on all eleven Doctors. This month, it’s Fourth Doctor TOM BAKER!
Don’t miss the Premiere of the fourth DOCTOR WHO: THE DOCTORS REVISITED Special, plus the classic Fourth Doctor storyline “Pyramids of Mars” Sunday April 28 at 8/7c on BBC America.
Take an in-depth look at the fourth incarnation of the truly timeless Time Lord, who quickly made the part his own, and with his eccentric style of dress and speech — particularly his trademark long scarf — immediately became a recognizable figure. Playing the role for seven consecutive seasons over a seven-year period, he’s the longest-serving actor in the part so far. With exclusive interviews with lead writer & executive producer STEVEN MOFFAT, producer MARCUS WILSON, companion LOUISE JAMESON and TOM BAKER himself!
Then, in the story “Pyramids of Mars,” the Doctor and his companion Sarah Jane Smith (ELISABETH SLADEN) attempt to free a pyramid imprisoned Egyptologist from his possession by Sutekh, the last of a powerful alien called the Osirans.
And if you missed the first three ‘Revisited’ specials, watch them on BBC America today beginning at 6:30/5:30c.
